About The Event
Chaturanga is a foundational, transitional pose in a majority of flow classes. Done correctly, it builds full body strength and awareness. Done incorrectly, it can be an obstacle in loving your practice and a path to injury.
With the creative use of props, we will explore ways to modify the posture in order to reinforce positive muscle memory and body mechanics. You will analyze your own personal alignment habits along with Emily and uncover possible pitfalls in order to make corrections and move towards the full, safe, and proper expression of chaturanga.
This workshop will include an intelligent flow practice, which builds the strength and body awareness required for chaturanga, and the counter poses to release the muscles used in this beautiful, empowering posture.
